Good to know
How to choose one
Look for bright, even colour without too many dark patches, and fruit that gives slightly when pressed gently. If it is very firm, leave it a day or two at room temperature.
How to eat it
It is best chilled. Cut it in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, or peel and dice it for fruit salad, a yoghurt bowl or a smoothie. The skin is not eaten.
